Asama’s North America Research & Design Team is located at its Coldwater, MI facility. The integration of ACM’s R&D team within its Michigan Manufacturing facility allows the team to continuously develop & prototype processes and designs that replicate close to mass production conditions during early part validation and approval stages.
ACM has continuously invested money into resources which allow for complete product design life cycle. This includes software to allow for shape design and simulation, process simulation, prototype part manufacturing and final validation testing. In addition to software simulation and analysis, we also have in-house physical examination and testing capabilities including Dynamometer, 3-D scanning, lapping, and microstructure analysis.
ACM’s R&D team not only can work on final product shape, but also designs all casting and machine tooling in-house.
